My Biography

Pam Hyatt is the Executive Director at The Dream Center, a nonprofit after-school program for at-risk students in Randolph County. Over the course of 10 years, she has supported the development of a STREAM (science, technology, reading, engineering, art, and mathematics) learning program, social-emotional learning program, and a college and career readiness program, in collaboration with the North Carolina Center for Afterschool and Jobs for the Future. She has successfully written 21st CCLC and private grants to sustain programs, and has collaborated with NASA and the Department of Education on engaging youth in meaningful and relevant STEM content. Along with her out-of-school experiences, Pam has also taught 4th and 5th grade, and is a National Board-Certified Educator. Currently, she lives in Asheboro with her husband, two children, and her 3 dogs, Mini, Nala, and Kiara. When she is not working, she is either kayaking or traveling.
