ACRES is a nationally acclaimed coaching program that builds knowledge and skills so afterschool educators, librarians and anyone who works with youth in out-of-school settings can confidently facilitate Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) experiences.
The Maine Mathematics & Science Alliance (MMSA) has received a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant that provides innovative training for out-of-school educators, including librarians, as they to bring more Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) into their programs. During this 4 year, nearly 83-million-dollar scale-up grant, MMSA will offer free coaching to afterschool educators who wish to hone their STEM facilitation skills as well as train others to become coaches.
